About the Trust
As a company, the Tata Group has always gone beyond business, and chosen to be a responsible corporate citizen who plays its part in the community, and as a member of society.
The Taj Public Service Welfare Trust is another manifestation of this credo.
In the aftermath of the unprecedented attacks on Mumbai in November 2008, we witnessed an outpouring of support from well-wishers in India and across the globe. In response to that, the Taj Public Welfare Trust was set up to provide immediate relief to individuals and families affected by the recent terror attacks in Mumbai: the general public, police, firemen and security forces, employees of the Taj and other establishments.
The trust will henceforth, come to the aid of victims of terror, natural calamities and other tragic events that inflict damage to life and property.
The Taj Group has been joined in this cause by other Tata Group companies and Tata Trusts who, along with their employees, have made generous contributions.
